What to Bring to Your First Appointment at Astrid & Luna
A short, considered list — and a few things to leave at home — for a first visit that feels effortless.

Your first appointment with us should feel like an evening at a friend's home — warm, unhurried, and a little ceremonial. Here's how to arrive prepared.
Bring
Clean, stretched hair. Wash and blow-dry one to two days before. Detangle gently. Skip heavy oils and butters on the day of.
Reference images. Three to five is perfect. Save them to a folder on your phone or to a Pinterest board. We use them as a starting point, not a script.
A water bottle and a small snack. Most appointments run four to six hours. Hydrated guests have a better experience — every time.
Headphones, a book, or a downloaded show. We have wifi and we love a good conversation, but the best appointments are the ones where you can quietly disappear into something you enjoy.
Loose, comfortable clothing. A button-down or zip-up is ideal — it comes off without disturbing the work.
“Treat it like a small retreat. Bring the book you've been meaning to start.”
Leave at home
Heavy products on freshly washed hair. Tight hats or beanies that flatten the roots. The expectation that you'll be in and out in an hour — this is a craft, and craft takes time.
When you arrive
Park anywhere on Silverberry Circle. We'll greet you at the door, walk you through your reference images, and confirm the style, length, and timeline before we begin. If anything changes during the consultation, we adjust together.
We can't wait to meet you.

“I always tell first-time guests: this isn't a haircut. It's an afternoon. Treat it that way and you'll leave wondering why you waited so long.”
